Paper Shredding Options
You can choose from two options for prompt, reliable, pickup service:
- Regular pick-up schedule: (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.) if your containers fill up in between, just give us a call and we will make an extra pickup
- Call for pick-up: we usually can be there in a day but will be no longer than 48 hours
Preparing Your Materials for Shredding
There is no need to remove folders, paper clips, binder clips, CD’s, etc. The color of the paper doesn't matter - if you need any paper securely shredded, we will take care of it.
Paper Shred Size Options
Beacon Secure provides these shred size options:
- 1/2" strips meet most requirements
- 5/16" strips meet Internal Revenue Service and other organizations' standards
- Cross-cut disintegration meets U.S. Government Security Level Six requirements
NOW: Hard Drive Shredding
Beacon Secure will pick up and shred your hard drives into fine particles. Our hard drive destruction process is DoD 5220.22-M compliant and ensures that your data cannot be recovered.
Up Front Costs
There are no up front costs, as the locked containers for the documents and media are provided at no charge by Beacon Secure.
One-time Pickups
If you have a one-time secure paper shredding purge, we can provide extra containers. We will pick-up material in boxes and on pallets.
Quick Pickups
We know where the containers are located in your building so that we can be in and out quickly and collect all containers when we visit.
Service Area
We have regular service to southern Arizona including Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Mammoth, Nogales, Sierra Vista, Sahaurita, Fort Huachuca, Green Valley, Ajo, Benson, Wilcox, Bisbee and Douglas.
Media Types
We collect all types of electronic media, including: x-rays, microfiche, computer disks, computer tape, video cassettes, CD's and DVD's. They are destroyed by shredding to a minimum particle size of one half-inch. The media can be deposited in the same Beacon Secure container as the confidential paper, no sorting required!
Paper Recycling
Once your confidential documents have been shredded, the shredded paper is bailed up and sent to a recycling mill. The mill recycles your materials back into new paper. Your documents will not end up in a landfill.
